When the weather is cold in Europe there are so many ways to look stylish and warm at the same time. But here in Dubai when its cold as you walk along the beach, your then warm from the walking, then cold from the indoor AC's and then warm from a hot beverage etc.. Its a little hard to figure out what to wear. The best way i tackle this is by layering. Layers you can actually take off when hot and put back on when cold. Don't go out looking like a polar bear in the biggest fleece and not wear anything underneath so you just have to suffer (not mentioning sweating underneath). So here's what i wore as i literally walked along the beach in the cold breeze and then warmed up after my mini exercise to attend the Exclusive Launch of Laduree on The Beach at JBR.

The night's are getting cold in Dubai and as we were sat outside for Dhamani's 'The Diamond Show' at Armani hotel, Burj Khalifa, I'm glad i had worn a long sleeve top, even though it was out of lace. Clinched in at the waist with a black asymmetric pencil skirt, it was all very lady like. I did start the night with my hair up but as the wind hit my back i had to let it down to keep my back warm! :)

Blouse: Stradivarius
Skirt: BCBG Max Azria

Dressed casual to attend the Professional Beauty GCC event in Mina A'Salam today, as i knew there would be a lot of walking about involved. Three colours made the whole outfit, from an off-white blazer and scarf with little brown owls, to a brown bag and shoes, on a base of navy denim jeans and top.

Coming to the end of January in Dubai and you are really starting to feel the winter (okay clearly not as much as the rest of the world) but it is getting quite cold. I am almost always wearing a vest under every top. so its all about layering right now. Out to dinner and i decided make a cocktail of colours, textures and prints, but somehow, it works!

Blouse: Massimo Dutti
Pants: Massimo Dutti
Scarf: H&M

Early start for a ladies networking event and its all about business. There is something about big shades, leather and bold colours and unique pieces that make you feel powerful and confident (as well as a good conversation starter). And just like any other meeting, your style speaks way before you do. So make sure you make a statement as you walk through the door.

Winter nights in Dubai and I'm out with my hubby on a date night. I believe you can wear leopard print all year round and now that its winter i went for a black sleeved top. As the top has quite an interesting asymmetric shape already and the skirt is patterned i opted for minimum jewellery to keep it chic and classy.

Top: Zara
Skirt: Dolce & Gabbana
Shoes: Giuseppe Zanotti
Bag: Saint Laurent Paris
Earrings: Aldo

Dressed super casual to attend the Market OTB in Dubai's Downtown today. Such a lovely weather and even though i wore black the layering helped keep me warm from the breeze but cool enough under the sun. I suppose the inspiration behind this outfit came from a slightly bohemian festival attendee. Haha.

Hat: Ted Baker
Floral T-shirt: New Look
Leather Skorts: Zara
Vest: Zara
Sneakers: Nike
Bag: Michael Kors
Chunky coined necklace: Forever 21
3 pendant coin necklace: I seriously cannot remember :(

Always a lover of bright colours through the winter to lift those cold and cloudy thoughts. Its mid January and Dubai's sun is going strong at noon. In a country where you hardly feel the cold (not in the day anyway) there really is no excuse to dress cheerful. And even if you want to make some reference to the season, here is my example: i adore white throughout the year, from white breezy linens along the beach in the summer, to the more warm fluffy fabrics in the snow. Its a colour that imitates its surroundings and works well in almost every occasion - except from when you're attending someone else's wedding, then thats a no-no, (unless you really hate the bride!) Now Orange is not exactly a colour that comes to mind when thinking of the winter -oh but it is. What is the seasonal fruit at this time of the year? Clementines! You don't need to look too far for outfit inspirations or excuses (however you wish to put it) to wear those bright clothes. Of course, i love black just as much as white but for a lifted spirit and a positive mindset to have a informal meeting along The Beach at JBR, i opted for this colour combination.

I love the colour of this jumpsuit and the detailing in the sleeves. I usually find it very hard to wear jumpsuits as the mid section is usually too baggy so not so flattering, and ordering this little number online was pretty risky. However when it arrived in the post and i tried it on, i was pretty amazed at the fact that it was clinched in at the waist which creates a more hourglass shape.

Black & White is always a safe colour combination, very chic, very elegant. With a touch of gold, or in my case, draped in gold, makes the outfit just that much more glamorous!
